A LA CARTE – Release First LP in 40 Years

Rumor has it that the most flavorful dishes contain no more than 5 ingredients which is a good thing for Al La Carte.  They are clearly a talented bunch with some ass shaking catchy grooves.

I could see why catching them live could be fun, they have what it takes to make a great record. There are so many good elements when you break down the tracks.  They have some tasty guitar and bass work, fun adolescent lyrics, that could go a long way with a different approach maybe. For example:
Track 2 – No Tell Motel – a dramatic intro and killer guitar work and tone – over all awesome vibe.
Track 5 – Pink On The Inside  –  with a Kiss like intro and some super 80’s Van Halen vibe in the harmonies – super fun song.
Track 3 – Ride of Your Life – This was the beginning of the end for me. Funky intro – loved that. Again, nice guitar work in there.
The band does have some interest from some notable sources:
Gene Hoglan said of this band, “….bow and thank the rock Gods for A La Carte. I know I do!”

George Lynch said : “A La Carte was like ZZ Top meets The Rocky Horror Picture Show; they were the nastiest blues-rock bunch of guys…it was theater at the same time”.

This release is their first (and only) album after 40 years . It’s been a long time in the making as its new recordings of songs that were written between 1976 and 1979. It represents the way A La Carte sounded during the day but designed to please old friends, and bring a new audience into the music from that period.
