Bahari Hit The Road With Selena Gomez and Birdy; Video For “Dancing On The Sun” Available Now (PRNewsFoto/Interscope Records)
Female modern-pop trio Bahari release the video for their brand new single, entitled “Dancing On The Sun,” today on Apple Music Connect. Directed by Marcus Haney (Coldplay, Mumford & Sons), the video was shot up and down the coast of California and perfectly captures the group’s vibe — a youthful reflection of the
carefree spirit of the coastal lifestyle.
Their debut single, “Dancing On The Sun” released via Rock Mafia / XIX Recordings / Interscope Records is also available for digital download and streaming via all participating digital retailers. The song draws from retro psychedelic pop and alternative rock influences.
Based in the idyllic Southern California community of Manhattan Beach, Bahari –vocalist/bassist Natalia Panzarella, vocalist/keyboardist Ruby Carr, and vocalist/guitarist Sidney Sartini — all grew up around and are inspired by the ocean, hence their band name, which means “ocean” in Swahili (Kenyan-born Ruby’s first language). With collective influences that span singer-songwriter folk and classic rock to contemporary pop, the members of Bahari have created a radiant, harmony-rich, brightly melodic sound.
In other Bahari news, the girls hit the road this June supporting British singer / songwriter Birdy on select June dates commencing June 8(th) in Boston.
