CHARLES ESTEN to Become 1st Artist to Release 52 Singles In A Row + EMMY® Buzz

On June 7, recording artist, actor, songwriter and musician, Charles Esten, made his hosting debut at the 2017 CMT Awards, which saw a tune-in of more than 3 million viewers. Today, Charles unveils another first — not just for himself; for the music industry at large.  On July 7th, he becomes the first artist to release 52 original songs, back-to-back, through a unique music campaign he named, #EverySingleFriday.
“I’ve been writing and performing music since I was in college and had a deep catalog of original songs I wanted to put out,” says Charles. “Last July, I decided to release one song a week, every single Friday. Here we are, almost a year later, and we’re still going strong.”  Charles’ debut single was, “Through The Blue” (July 15, 2016) and is featured here viaRated Red and Skyville Live. This week’s song “I Climb The Walls” is his 48th in the #EverySingleFriday series, and brings him one step closer to a never-before-seen music milestone.  Additionally, Charles is generating Emmy buzz for his work on the critically acclaimed series “Nashville.” Notably this season his character “Deacon Claybourne” must deal with the tragic loss of his friend, bandmate and love interest “Rayna James” (Connie Britton). TVLine calls Charles’ nuanced, shattering performance, “a tour de force” and “his best work on the series to date.” (2/25/16)
Voting for this year’s Emmys opened yesterday, June 12, with a link to the episode available to view on the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ website.  Also, Charles is the face of Carl’s Jr., appearing in the latest ad campaign for the popular quick-serve burger chain with over 1,100 locations worldwide. Charles is currently on tour in the UK with his “Nashville” cast mates, after which he returns to the U.S. for additional concert dates.
