Cheap Trick on the Hottest Ticket of the Year

Although I have seen this Hall Of Fame band several times over the years they always seem to be able to amaze me.  And as you can imagine, this time was no different. As one of the hottest tours in the USA this year Cheap Trick joined Foreigner, and Jason Bonham for the hottest ticket of the year.

Although Jason Bonham was not on this particular show this night , Cheap Trick played a extended set that included all the typical hits that we all know and, love. Surrender, Ain’t That a Shame,The Flame, Dream Police, I Want You To Want Me, Tonight It’s You and many more. I must say that this Band still Rocks Hard. Robin Zander’s voice is still spot on as is Rick Neilson’s guitar playing rounded out by Bass Player Tom Petersson , Drummer, Daxx Neilsen son of Rick Neilsen to round out the band. Between you and I, it’s not a surprise that they finally got in the Hall Of Fame.  It just’s a little later than I thought they deserved. I have always loved their live performances from the very first time I saw them in 1977 in NYC and nothing has changed over the years. Things just get better with age I guess.
