GOOD, a global media brand and social impact company, and Google announce “GOODFest,” a modern, livestreamed music festival featuring “5 Shows. 5 Cities. 5 Causes.”, throughout the end of the year, with the first show scheduled for New York on Giving Tuesday, November 29 when Glass Animals and Preservation Hall play BAMcafé with a “Generosity”-themed show in support of DonorsChoose.org.

GOODFest is presented by GOOD and Pixel, a phone by Google, in collaboration with major artists and innovative nonprofits to highlight signs of progress around the globe. GOODFest redefines “benefit” concert into a new social impact platform connecting artists and people around causes through music, culture, and technology. Each show will rally support for a nonprofit organization through a combination of ticket sales as well as online and text donations. In addition, GOOD will raise mass awareness for the causes via its editorial platform, sponsored content, and media partnerships.

Every GOODFest show will be livestreamed on YouTube Live and Facebook Live with limited capacity for in-person attendees. People can sign up for reminders, donate to causes, and get tickets at www.goodfest.live.

Each GOODFest concert will be livestreamed on YouTube and Facebook to audiences across the world, with a GOODFest experience filmed for virtual reality distribution on Google’s new VR headset Daydream. The Pixel will be used to capture photos and behind-the-scenes content, highlighting its superior low-light capabilities. All show content will live on goodfest.live. GOOD and Google worked with global digital agency Essence on GOODFest.

With the launch of GOODFest, we’re continuing to redefine what content and captivating experiences mean for tomorrow through the use of digital festivals and virtual reality today. Our work with GOOD, their platform and their audience is integral to the success of the program.”

Artist Quotes

“Suicide is now the leading cause of death in people under 40. A large part of that comes from the stigma attached to mental health, and that comes from a lack of understanding. We all know the signs and symptoms of a heart attack or a stroke, and the signs and symptoms of mental illnesses should be equally common knowledge, and equally part of the general dialogue.” – Dave Bayley, Glass Animals
