Live Nation has donated more than 75,000 tickets year to date to the Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix), making Live Nation the organization’s top donor of 2016.

Vet Tix is a national nonprofit that provides free event tickets to service members and veterans. Since 2008, Vet Tix has provided more than two million tickets to 450,000 Vet Tixers, who include current service members (including guard and reserves), veterans from all eras and branches, and immediate families of troops Killed-In-Action. Vet Tix distributes tickets to professional and collegiate sporting events, concerts, performing arts and family activities in all 50 states.

As the largest live entertainment company in the world, Live Nation helps realize this goal by supplying Vet Tix with donated tickets for concerts, comedy shows, family entertainment and other live events across the United States.

“Welcoming our troops and veterans to Live Nation’s concerts is the least we can do to show our gratitude for their service and sacrifices,” said Michael Rapino, President and CEO, Live Nation Entertainment. “Freedom of speech and artistic expression that we enjoy wouldn’t be possible without the dedication and bravery of our veterans.”

In addition to strengthening family bonds and building memories, Vet Tix notes that providing live entertainment to service members and veterans can reduce stress and encourage them to stay engaged with local communities and American life.

“Every single ticket donated to Vet Tix makes a real difference in the lives of our country’s heroes, which makes a partner like Live Nation, who delivers an unmatched scale and variety of tickets, invaluable,” said Mike Focareto, CEO of Vet Tix. “As our partnership continues to grow each year we put even more free tickets in the hands of active military members and retired veterans all over the nation.”

Live Nation also supports veterans by welcoming them as employees, and is launching a nation-wide job fair to attract and hire veterans for roles across its various divisions, including Live Nation Entertainment, House of Blues Entertainment, Ticketmaster and more. Working with veteran associations throughout the country, Live Nation will host veteran job fairs in 10 of its major markets, including: Atlanta, Ga., Boston, Mass., Chicago, Ill., Dallas, Texas, Houston, Texas, Los Angeles, Calif., New York City, N.Y., Philadelphia, Pa., San Francisco, Calif., Washington, D.C.

To ensure vets achieve long-term success in their careers at Live Nation, the company is also introducing a mentorship program. Upon hiring, Live Nation will partner veterans with a mentor to help them with their transition into a civilian role.

Additional information on the job fairs, including specific dates, times and locations, will be announced soon. For updates and more information on careers at Live Nation, visit www.livenationentertainment.com/careers.
