Montréal Symphonique – The boroughs unite for a unique broadcoast!

This is the perfect occasion to celebrate our city’s own talents in this extraordinary musical rendez-vous, says Alain Gignac, General Manager for the Society for the Celebration of Montréal’s 375th Anniversay. “Montréal Symphonique will be a landmark event for this summer’s celebrations.”

The grandiose event of the official programming of the 375th anniversary of Montréal and GSI Musiquewhich will take place at the foot of the Mount Royal will be memorable in many ways: not only will Montréal Symphonique bring together on the same stage three symphony orchestras and over 400 musicians, artists and choir members, it will also be broadcast live in 18 of the city’s boroughs onAugust 19th at 9pm. In order to ensure that all Montrealers are able to take part in this free evening of festivities, 18 boroughs will put up giant screens in different parks and venues.

An impressive lineup of artists will be performing on stage for a 2-hour concert directed by Monique Giroux and arranged and conducted by Simon LeclercAlain LefebvreCoeur de PirateDJ ChampionElisapieILAMIsabelle BoulayMarie-Josée LordMélissa LavergneM-MoPatrick WatsonPierre Lapointe and more to come will take part in the celebrations of this anniversary shared with all Montrealers.
