League of Rock Canada founder Terry Moshenberg, is proud to announce the next Chapter of the League of Rock will be beginning in Montréal this Fall, 2016!
Gary Johnston and Angela Mariasine have partnered to offer adult amateur musicians this opportunity to unleash their awesome musical talent at the inaugural League of Rock Montréal session, this Fall, which will kick off on Wednesday September 28(th) 2016!
League of Rock members are drafted into a band and enjoy a 10-week musical tour.

bers signup as individuals and attend a J.A.B. (Join a Band) Session. This is where band mates meet each other for the first time, talk about the next ten weeks, get familiar with each other and discuss the music they’re interested in playing together. Members will have to pick a band name and select three songs to play. Each week the bands will be coached by some of Montréal’s best pro musicians. It’s also the kick-off of the Montréal chapter of the League of Rock, so we will rock you!
The first four weeks are spent identifying and practicing the three songs they have selected as a band. Each band gets a fully equipped private rehearsal room with pro musicians to coach them and beer & pizza supplied by our sponsors! Week five is the first showcase, where the bands play live on stage for the first time and receive instruction from our rock star coaches in a group format. It’s a safe environment, it’s forgiving, and it gives them the chance to build confidence. Week six they are back at rehearsal. Week seven is the second live showcase. This time the bands receive coaching from our rock stars in a community setting from the front of the stage! Week eight is the final rehearsal where the bands prepare their best so
ng for recording and polish up their moves for the final showcase. Week nine is the four-hour session where they record their best song for the League of Rock Greatest Hits CD. They will lay down bed tracks, overdub solos and vocals and then go to final mix with a pro producer in a state of the art studio! The final week is a showcase at an amazing venue. It’s open to the public, to family and friends, as well as all our coaches and fans are invited. This is the pay-off for our members and it’s a whole lotta fun. We award prizes supplied by our partners for best rock hair, best rock attitude, MVP, etc. Their performance is captured with a full camera crew and members receive a DVD of the of the full show! And you never know who might hit the stage at this event…
League of Rock Montréal promises to deliver the same unforgettable adult music experience the League of Rock is known for delivering in Toronto and Ottawa over the past ten years. There are so many adults who play an instrument and/or sing and who are stuck in the basement with nobody to play with. The League of Rock is an incredibly unique and creative outlet for these people, and it’s finally coming to Montréal!
