On November 4th, British melodic rock icons, FM, released their newest/old album, “Indiscreet 30”; the collection is a fully reformatted and re-recorded version of their debut album “Indiscreet” that was originally released in 1986.
Using today’s technology and recording techniques the album takes FM’s classic music of the 80’s and creates the sound of FM as it is today.
“Indiscreet 30” is a melodic rock and AOR fan’s paradise! With all the originals from “Indiscreet” plus 7 bonus tracks, including the brand new song, “Running One Empty”, FM’s rendition of Ozzie’s famous “Shot In The Dark”, a remix of “Let Love Be The Leader” and an acoustic version of “That Girl”.
FM was formed in London, in 1984, by bassist, Merv Goldsworthy, drummer, Pete Jupp and musical brothers, Chris (lead guitarist) and Steve Overland (guitarist and vocalist). Regardless of the fact that the band disbanded between 1995 and 2007, they have released a total of 17 albums; 10 studio albums, five compilation recordings and two live albums.
While FM achieved quite a bit of fame in Europe, they were almost unheard of in the states yet they toured and shared the stage with such American 80’s and 90’s rock fame as, Foreigner, Journey, Tesla, White Snake, Bon Jovi and Molly Hatchet.
FM’s line up has changed over the years but they have managed to firmly cement themselves in that melodic rock genre that within stands the test of time. Their current lineup includes, three of the original members, Steve Overland, Merv Goldsworthy and Pete Jupp but now with the addition of Jem Davis on keyboards and Jim Kirkpatrick on lead guitar and backing vocals.
