This summer, Canadians are invited to indulge in the UK’s favourite food, music and family-fun festival, as The Big Feastival launches in Ontario for the first time on August 18th – 20th, 2017 at Burl’s Creek, Oro-Medonte. With warm summer days just around the corner, now’s the time to get your Day, Weekend and Camping Tickets for The Big Feastival, and here are just a few reasons why…

Joining an already stellar music lineup, The Big Feastival is thrilled to welcome Dragonette to the festival family. The all-out dance party stimulating sounds of the Canadian electronic music band will take to the Main Stage on Sunday, alongside headliner Weezer, with OK Go, De La Soul, Basia Bulat, Dwayne Gretzky, Repartee and Fawn Big Canoe (DJ set).

Topping the Main Stage on Saturday will be headliner Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, with The Strumbellas, Magic!, Wintersleep, Choir! Choir! Choir!, The Elwins, The Beaches and Famous Players (DJ set).

For a daily dose of up-and-coming talent, the Bandstand will host more than 20 artists from the stunning harmonies of the Command Sisters, and the honest and rich sound of St. Catharines’ indie-folk band, Limestone Chorus, to a celebration of Caribbean culture and dance with Carnival Spice. With no shortage of live entertainment day and night, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to belt out your favourite hits with the enthusiastic support of cover band, The Lionyls, and live out your inner rock star with Good Enough Live Karaoke.

FOOD & DRINK

Calling all budding cooks, keen eaters and food fanatics to The Cooking School. Featuring the country’s top chefs, including Rob Gentile, Alexandra Feswick, Vikram Vij and Danny Smiles, guests will learn how to cook up creative dishes using the chef’s best kept secrets. The lineup of dynamic culinary experts will also demonstrate their cooking skills and techniques live on the Big Kitchen stage. With the likes of Chuck Hughes leading the way, this year’s lineup of some of Canada’s best chefs promises not to disappoint.

Get your sweet and savory fix at some of The Big Feastival’s delicious dining experiences; embark on the ultimate artisanal adventure led by Afrim Pristine at the Cheese Cave with Ace Bakery and Adamo Estate Winery, take a deep dive into the sustainable seafood and fishing practices of Ocean Wise, cool off in the cutest way possible at the The Pop Stand, and get the party started with one of Crazy Uncle‘s big-kids-only root beer floats.

Little feastival-goers will begin their food journey in The Big Feastival’s very own garden, where they will have the opportunity to pick their own ingredients before heading over to the Little Kitchen for an interactive cooking class led by Julie Miguel and Devin Connell. With a focus on getting young cookaholics excited about nutritious ingredients and home-grown produce, even the most vegetable averse little ones can be encouraged to try something new.

With FREE general admission for Kids 12 and under, look no further than Amy’s Village Green and the Big Top to enjoy fun-filled days of live entertainment and interactive activities for the whole family! Start your weekend off right with a Family Yoga morning sun salutation session with KIND Yoga by Heart. Bubbling up the festival experience, Bumbling Bert’s Comedy Magic Show and Boogying, Bee-Boppin’ Bubble-Palooza will be the poppin’ spot for all. Post bubbles, chill out and take in The Udder Show to learn where many of our favourite foods comes from, then enjoy a sing-a-long with acclaimed family entertainers Fred Penner and Splash ‘N Boots, and get up close and personal with Marshall and Chase of PAW Patrol. After a full day, relax and wind down with Storytime, featuring special guests throughout the weekend.

The Big Feastival Canada welcomes kids big and small, dudes and dudettes of all ages, and we certainly won’t stop mom and dad from getting their hands dirty at our wide range of family festival fun stations. From face painting to storytelling, dancing to jam sessions, bubbles to arts and crafts, there’ll be something to put a smile on everyone’s face.
