ERIC BURDON – PALA CASINO

After 50 years in the entertainment business Eric still has his passion for performance. I recently caught his show at Pala Casino and was amazed that his famed voice was still in great shape. The band was made up of the best studio musicians available and did not disappoint either.

He went through his entire catalog all the hits. The sold out audience sang along to all of those songs from the 60’s and 70’s. House of The Rising Sun. Spill the Wine, Down in Monterey, Don’t Let me Be Misunderstood, any many many more.

His set lasted an hour and a half and was filled with his banter about the good old days of Rock and Roll. I must admit, I had seen Eric back in the 60’s, and walked away at that time commenting to my friends at what a voice he had. Well I found myself doing the same thing after this show.

The Blues influenced singer was in great form, and chided the crowd to get up and sing along. He also kept asking the lighting guy to turn the house lights up so he could see who he was singing too. All in all the show was amazing as was Eric, just like when I saw him all those years ago.

Catch him out on tour now in a city near you. He is still The Rising Son.
