eZWay Awards Gala Features Sheldon Reynolds of Earth, Wind, and Fire

Sheldon Reynolds & Kelly Bennett

The 1st Annual eZway Awards and Dinner Gala took place in Orange County on August 30th, 2019.  This formal event pulled out all the stops where “heartpreneurs” and influencers walked the 30-foot gold carpet!  Eric Zuley, Founder of eZWay Networks teamed up with Media Magician Kelly Bennett to bring people of influence together with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit The Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC)

Kelly Bennett, of Bennett Unlimited PR, and a longtime friend of BackStage360, worked tirelessly to assure the success of this event.  Kelly did her magic providing great interviews at the end of the evening.  I actually learned a lot from watching Kelly.  There is no doubt in my mind she is the best in the business!  She is known for her personalized approach in helping clients maximize media attention leveraging her many years of experience.

The featured musical guest, Grammy Nominated Producer, Vocalist and Guitarist, Sheldon Reynolds, a former member of Earth, Wind and Fire (and Commodores) put on a great performance with their hit song “September”.  He had everyone’s attention in the room as we all sang along—that gold dress-shirt he was sporting made him look like a million bucks!

It was a personal pleasure to meet Sheldon.  It’s not every day you get to tell someone they were one of your very first musical influences!  Sheldon carries himself with a quiet wisdom.  He looked deeply into my eyes (as if he was looking right through me) and told me I was special.  He is very soft-spoken but remains to be a powerful force continuing to make a difference in the world.

I chatted with his business manager, Jesse Moore, and he filled me in on some of the things Sheldon is involved with.  He hosts a YouTube show called, “Behind the Groove”, an Educational, Informational, Music, Performance Television Show.  He is actively involved in a variety of benefits which support underprivileged children and has many projects going on all the time.  His Parkinson’s may have slowed him down physically, but he is sharp as a tack with no “slowing down” in sight.

I met a “cast of characters” and it was fun getting dressed up, except for the shoes that killed my feet.  People kept coming up to me and introducing themselves.  I really enjoyed “people watching”.  I met actors, musicians, beauty queens, as well as fitness buffs, and business experts. I even met some like-minded people from the metaphysical world.  Prince Fleet Easton, Entertainer Extraodinaire from Palm Springs introduced me to his friends telling them, “she’s one of us”.  Everyone was so kind.

The other performers that sang during the dinner were none other than the newly crowned Ms. America 2019 (Ms. West Coast), Joanna Hairabedian, Vocalist and Saxophone player, Aviva with her new song, “Call Me Beautiful” which was amazing, and guests were even treated to Evan Disney’s Magical Entertainment.

Everyone looked so stunning and they seemed to be having the best time ever.  They exited the evening with their awards and goodie bags and the biggest smiles on their faces.
