JOANovArc, Britain’s, all female, raunch rock band released, Ride Of Your Life, their debut album on November 11, 2016 and what a joy ride it is!
Produced by Grammy award winning, Gill Norton, Ride Of Your Life, is musical testament to the member’s ups and downs, trials and tribulations, time on the road and growing up together. Formed in 2004 by sisters, Sam Walker, lead vocalist, bass and guitar, and Shelley Walker, lead guitar and backing vocals, they later added drummer, Deborah Wildish and then in 2009, rounded the foursome with Laura Ozholl, rhythm guitar, bass and vocals.
This hard hitting, hellbent for leather foursome is a force to reckon with. An updated toss back to American’s own, Pat Benatar and Joan Jett, JOANovArc sends a message about the strength of girl power and delivers it in a way that will set your heart (and fists) pumping!
JOANovArc stamped their mark on the international music scene in 2015 when they released two singles from their debut album, “Live Rock and Roll” and “White Trash” and are now touring and riding the music festival roller coaster with heavy hitters, such as The Dead Daisies, Glenn Hughes, Inglorious, Tyketto and many other beloved power metal artists. The global festival circuit has taken them throughout Europe, Asia, the United States, Asia, the Caribbean and the Middle East.
According to their website, music is far from their only talent. In 2015, JOANovArc, toured Europe completely sans personal electronics, cell phones, laptops, etc., as a social experiment proving society’s dependence on technology. The tour was recorded for a TV documentary that is slated to broadcast at some point in 2017. Additional film credits include the Chinese produced film, Triumph In The Skies, which starred popular Hong Kong female vocalist, Sammy Cheng. They also recently completed an independent film entitled, Is This Now, also due to be released in 2017.
Ride Of Your Life is 11 tracks of expressive, seductive and dramatic stories and music that take you on a ride back in time, then abruptly twists, flips you back around all while immersing you in pulsating and aggressive bass lines, heart pounding rhythms and infectious lyrics. You will be hooked before the end of the first track.
