The Progressive Powerhouse, known as Symbolic, recently were direct support for Resurrection Kings at Brick by Brick, and were part of an amazing night of Rock and Metal.  Symbolic are five musicians who have no problem laying a heavy groove for you to attach yourself too.  Complicated structured songs but with a very rhythmic underlying feel gets you connected to their music.  On this particular night they started with the song “Devil be me” which has a nice heavy groove that you can move along too. Then the song “King has Fallen” keeps your attention with a mesmerizing Drum/Bass Intro that keeps the listener in the same song groove as “Devil be me”.  Both of the opening songs set the tone for the night.  Then, Vocalist Scott Bruce announces they are playing a new song called “Almost Human”, which would give me a peek into what is to come for these brilliant individuals.  All I can say is I loved it.  Very catchy intro into another great song and made me want to hear more. The remaining songs were equally fun and kept you in that same metal groove.  The band reminded me of the band “Fates Warning” but with catcher Riffs and a much better Live feel. This band which is led by Scott Bruce (Vocals), Robert Fernandez (Bass), Steve Potts (Guitar), Louie Borja (Guitar) and Steven Elias (Drums) has a bright future in Metal.  I would highly recommend seeing them live and find their Music online at www.symbolic4.com.
