American born, Ted Poley, best known as the frontman for the 80’s rock band, Danger, Danger, internationally released his third solo album on May 13, 2016 and search no more, hard core fans of melodic rock, this album delivers!
Working with Frontiers Music srl, acclaimed producer and fellow musician, Alessandro Del Vecchio, and British songwriters and musicians Tom and James Martin (Vega and Khymera – two of my favorites) Beyond The Fade, started its creative journey into reality after the Frontiers Rock Festival in the spring of 2014 and was born to be a star.
Starting out with the catchy road trip tune, “Let’s Start Something” and ending with the lengthy earworm, six plus minute ballad, “Beneath The Stars”, Ted Poley’s gloriously pure vocals brings forth the sound that defined the one of the greatest eras of rock music without falter.
Beyond The Fade is a thoroughly enjoyable album that fits nicely into almost any situation or environment and knows no age limit. I honestly believe that whether you are twenty or eighty, you will love this compilation of power rock, ballads and flawless melodies. It is a “turn it up” kind of thing that blows through your mind instead of blowing up your speakers leaving peaceful, easy feeling in its wake.
This is, again, another release from Frontiers Music where song after song is nothing short of a first rate effort from the entire team, no fillers, no gaps no eyebrow raising “what the hell was that?” tracks. With one of my favorites being the beautiful duet with Norwegian, female vocalist, Issa, “The Perfect Crime” and the collaboration with Rainbow and current Sunstorm vocalist, Joe Lyn Turner, on the “Hands Of Love”, Ted Poley and company creates moments in time to be savored over and over again. It is, indeed, an album for the ages.
