The Women’s International Music Network Announces Open Call for the 2018 “She Rocks” Showcase

Artist submissions now being accepted for the official ASCAP EXPO showcase featuring female songwriter/performers at prestigious music industry event

The Women’s International Music Network (the WiMN)announces the fifth annual “She Rocks” Showcase, scheduled during the ASCAP “I Create Music” EXPO in Los Angeles on Tuesday, May 8, 2018.

This official EXPO Showcase, celebrating its fifth anniversary, will be a focal point of the evening at the conference. The 2018 “She Rocks” Showcase presents a unique opportunity for female artists of all styles to perform in front of industry experts, media representatives, artists, publishers and more during the premier conference for songwriters, composers and producers.

Artists 18 years of age and over are encouraged to submit their best material for an opportunity to win a performance slot at the showcase. All genres and styles of music — from unplugged to full bands — are welcome to apply. All materials must be submitted by April 2, 2018. Showcase slot winners will be announced by April 13, 2018. Winners will also receive a free day pass to the ASCAP EXPO. While submissions are open to everyone, an EXPO badge is required to attend the showcase.

Now in its 13th year, the ASCAP “I Create Music” EXPO is the largest conference of its kind in the United States, attracting over 3,000 music creators for three days of panels, workshops, master classes, keynotes and one-on-one sessions with the industry’s top hitmakers.
