Clutch – When American Rock Used to be Great at Telling Stories

What does touring for over 25 years relentlessly bring you?  Well….. Tonight it brought the Diamond Ballroom one of the most fearless Rock quartets touring today; CLUTCH!  Clutch’s blend of heavy metal, grunge and downright raw unencumbered musicality literally put on a show of epic proportions.  The show started with the excitement turned to 10 and by the end of the night melted your face off with great songs and showmanship.  Their music is timeless and the crowd of adoring fans let you know they were there to party and celebrate.

Clutch’s on stage persona demands the attention of the crowd with Neil (Singer) pulling you into his every action.  After seeing this band live you will love them and become a fan, like I did and anyone else in attendance.  You will be taken back to a time when American Rock used to be great at telling stories and music made you conjure up visions in your head while listening.  Neil has the ability to mesmerize the crowd and you can’t take your eyes off the stage.  The band plays their set Loud and never seems to be lacking in energy or enthusiasm.  Clutch will keep you engaged and connected to the music for the entire show.  Keeping up this kind of energy for over 25 years of performing is unheard of in this age and time and should be rewarded.  Now I understand why the fans love them so much and even on the newer songs you could see people in the back singing along.  The band’s music sticks to you like sweat does after working under your car in the garage with no air-conditioning all day.  Get that graphic out of your head! LoL

While the crowd was driven into Chaos and non-stop crowd surfing was witnessed throughout the entire night.  Clutch delivered a night of blistering rock whose performance and music will not be forgotten anytime soon and I can’t wait to see them again. Check out their Discography and their latest 2018 release “Book of Bad Decisions”
