The Sound, a new 1,900-seat concert venue, is opening in Del Mar in February with Ziggy Marley as the first act but that show is sold out. That should be an exciting addition to the area. More details below.

Harlow’s Cocktail Bar, Lounge & Restaurant in Bonsall is reopening January 5. They will be open Thursday-Saturday from 5-11pm and plan to have live music. I don’t have the schedule, but Ron Ebel will be performing January 7. The Welk Theatre in Escondido has brought back regular performances as well as the Wednesday night bands, booked through the fall. More details below under Escondido.
