The Raskins – Lost in the Dark

The Raskins

Well, here we are at one of the best venues in So Cal, the famous Coach House. Tonight we’re here reviewing one of the hottest young bands in the last few years at this great venue, The Raskins.

I first became aware of The Raskins when I saw them open for Alice Cooper and Motley Crue at the Hollywood Bowl a few years ago. I’ve been following them ever since that night. I was finally able to get a moment to see then in a smaller venue, the great Coach House, opening for Buckcherry. To say that the show was great is a true understatement because this band of brothers is a smoking hot act to say the least.

Made up of twin brothers The Raskins are a true throwback to good old fashion rock n roll.

The Raskins

Logan Raskin and his brother Roger are true showmen with impeccable songs, talent and song writing ability. With songs like We Had It All, Another Hero and Lost In The Dark just to name a few are harkened back to that 70″s vibe with a touch of the new millennium. Born and raised in NYC by musical parents they got their start at a very young age. Their dad was a very successful Broadway performer and their mom was a jazz performer so you can see where their talent came from.

Even though their set was only seven songs or so, they grabbed the crowd’s attention and held it the palm of their hand till they were done. They ripped it from start to finish. Most people in the audience had never seen these boys as I had and when I looked around the room they were all with their mouths wide open. To say people were surprised would be funny. It was fun to watch the reaction of the crowd that had no idea what they just witnessed. These cats just ripped the roof off of the Coach House in a short set of songs and left the crowd wanting more.

I am so glad I had the time to catch up with Logan and his Brother Roger and the rest of the band on this tour and want to thank them for having BackStage360 cover their show. A huge thanks also to  The Coach House for extending their hospitality, as always, to us.
